Director Bunty Althaus is a Retired Business owner for Tatogga Resort. She loves her sewing machine, family , friends, Terrace, Victoria and Tatogga Lake in that order. She is known for her attention to detail and her amazing quilts and we count ourselves very lucky to have her.
Vice president Anka Gibson is an active gardener, cook and business owner. In Terrace since 1973, Anka owned and managed Anka's Fresh Food and Dessert Cafe for 21 years. She is currently very involved with the Terrace Farmer's Market.
Director Joyce Gibson is a long time Terrace Resident. She is a retired Coast Mountain School District employee and we are so thankful for her commitment to seniors. Joyce has a passion for helping and has put in years on many community committees. Riverboat days were under Joyce's charge as she headed up their team for more then a decade. She is a true gem and we are proud to have her on our Board.
Director Sandy Glendenning is a retired member of our local media and the 2006 recipient of the Order of Terrace. Sandy has years of experience working with many community groups and years co-coordinating Riverboat days events.
As our Secretary, Cathy keeps everything going for us. After years working behind a desk she is now committed to helping our seniors stay connected and informed.
President Diana Penner came to Terrace in 1965 and with her family operated Brouwers Farm. In 2015 Diana organized Terraces' 1st Community Supported Agriculture Program. She is a Retired Social Worker and proud to be your Seniors Community Advocate.
Director Lissi Sorensen is a retired librarian whose love for reading and children continues as she now works year after year as a volunteer with young school aged students. Lissi has been active with Skeena Valley Seniors as a volunteer and is an important part of our team.
My husband and I moved to Terrace in 1999 and enjoyed living life to the fullest. Now that I am on my own, trying to keep busy as best I can.
Board Director Don Williams came to Terrace to support his family and found himself really connecting with our community. Don is a great neighbor. He has been an active volunteer for Skeena Valley Seniors Society for two years and is committed to serving and helping seniors.
